Executive Summary

Twenty-five adult literacy students engaged in career awareness workshops designed to highlight educational and employment opportunities in the mental and behavioral health field. Fourteen students enrolled in Mental Health First Aid training, earning valuable credentials that align with entry-level healthcare positions. Upon completing their literacy programs, students are eligible to earn six college credits by enrolling in two related courses, allowing them to begin a credit-bearing educational pathway aligned with their career goals. This connection ensures that adult learners are supported in transitioning from literacy education into meaningful, credentialed career pathways.
