Executive Summary
Essex County College has expanded its Dual Enrollment program with Weequahic High School to increase early access to college-level coursework in health sciences. During Fiscal Year 2024, the college introduced Biology 121, Chemistry 101 and 102, and Medical Terminology (HSC 109) as part of its dual enrollment offerings.
This expansion supports the development of a health sciences-focused associate degree pathway for high school students, enabling them to earn college credits while completing high school.
