IET Essentials of Supply Chain Management

The IET Essentials of Supply Chain Management (ESCM) Pathway Project, led by UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ in partnership with Middlesex College, implemented an Integrated Education and Training (IET) model tailored to English language learners. The project supported adult learners in gaining foundational English literacy skills alongside workforce training in supply chain management. Participants engaged in contextualized instruction and earned nationally recognized industry credentials from the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), including SCPro Fundamentals certifications in Supply Chain Management Principles, Inventory Management, Customer Service, and Warehousing Operations.

This collaborative approach resulted in shared instruction, resource development, and program alignment between the two colleges. The program exemplifies the core goals of the NJ Pathways to Career Opportunities initiative: improving access to career pathways for underserved learners and aligning education with industry needs.
