Executive Summary
To ensure seamless transfer opportunities for students pursuing careers in supply chain management, Essex County College (ECC) advanced an articulation agreement with Rutgers Business School – Newark. This pathway connection is designed to allow graduates of ECC’s Associate of Science in Supply Chain Management program to continue toward a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management without loss of credit or time.
As part of this alignment, Rutgers faculty are reviewing ECC’s business and supply chain courses for transferability and content equivalence. This ensures that students who complete their associate degree at ECC—particularly those who also earn SCPro™ Fundamentals certifications—are fully prepared to transition into upper-level coursework at Rutgers.
The collaboration between ECC and Rutgers addresses both academic and industry standards, bridging the gap between two- and four-year institutions while maintaining a focus on career readiness. With this transfer opportunity in place, students gain a structured, stackable pathway to a high-value bachelor’s degree and long-term career growth in New Jersey’s logistics and supply chain sectors.
