Executive Summary
In Summer 2024, County College of Morris piloted a pre-apprenticeship Robotics and Automation Boot Camp targeting veterans, underrepresented students, and adult learners. The pilot provided training aligned with the SACA C-101 certification and introduced participants to pathways in robotics through hands-on instruction and career exploration.
The boot camp served 8–10 participants and also functioned as a mechanism for identifying employer partners for future apprenticeships. The pilot revealed challenges around recruiting participants and formalizing employer partnerships, prompting expanded outreach and alignment with adjacent sectors that use automation technologies.
