Executive Summary

County College of Morris expanded its partnership with Morris County Vocational School District to integrate robotics and automation content into the existing Engineering Design & Advanced Manufacturing (EDAM) dual enrollment program. Beginning in the 2024–2025 academic year, students in the EDAM program will take Robotics & Automation I during their second year, earning both high school and college credit.

This effort was supported by CCM’s Summer Institute, which helped recruit students into the dual enrollment pipeline. The course revision process was guided by input from the program’s steering committee, including the decision to replace a low-interest course with robotics-focused content better aligned to student readiness and career outcomes. The partnership is also exploring new pathways within the EDAM program to allow students more elective flexibility in technical fields.
