Executive Summary
To build early awareness and interest in industrial automation careers, County College of Morris partnered with Morris County Vocational School District to deliver hands-on career exploration opportunities for high school students. A full-day Career Exploration Day, held on March 22, 2024, introduced 16 students to robotics and automation through engaging workshops and activities.
This initiative was strategically designed to feed into CCM’s Summer Institute, which added a dedicated robotics track to further immerse students in the field. These non-credit engagement opportunities served as effective recruitment tools for both high school students and the institution’s broader dual enrollment and certificate offerings.
By introducing high school students to emerging technologies early in their academic journeys, this pathway connection strengthens the pipeline into advanced manufacturing education and careers while promoting equitable access to high-demand sectors.
