Executive Summary
Sussex County Community College has expanded its dual enrollment offerings in Optics Technology to high school students across Sussex County. With 26 high school seniors enrolled in Fundamentals of Optics I during Spring 2024 alone, participation has seen significant growth. To date, more than 100 students have been introduced to the field through these offerings.
By aligning high school curriculum with SCCC’s Optics Technology program, and through the support of STEM educators and AmeriCom, students are receiving early exposure to advanced optics concepts and career pathways. This connection helps build a seamless transition from high school into postsecondary education
