Executive Summary

The Mechatronics pathway engaged multiple high schools to introduce students to industrial maintenance and mechatronics careers. This non-credit high school connection was designed to build early exposure and foundational skills in advanced manufacturing technologies.

In collaboration with education and industry partners, the program delivered tailored content that aligned with the high school curriculum while maintaining industry relevance. Students participated in career exploration, foundational training aligned with Festo’s mechatronics frameworks, and hands-on learning opportunities. The integration of industry credentials and equipment elevated the quality of instruction, and students gained insights into the career possibilities within industrial maintenance.

By creating early touchpoints with students and fostering partnerships across sectors, this connection has expanded the talent pipeline into high-demand technical fields.
