Executive Summary

Sussex County Community College (SCCC) is actively collaborating with community-based organizations to broaden access to the Machine Tool Technology pathway and meet regional workforce needs. Key partners include Project Self Sufficiency and local Workforce Development Boards and One-Stop Career Centers.

These partnerships support recruitment, outreach, and wraparound services for adult learners, underrepresented populations, and displaced workers. SCCC promotes pathway programs through workforce databases such as the NJ Careers Training Explorer and the AOSOS/ETPL site, ensuring statewide visibility and accessibility for eligible participants.

Through its collaboration with community-based organizations, the pathway project is expanding opportunities for individuals to gain high-demand manufacturing skills, earn credentials, and access employment—strengthening both the local workforce and the state’s manufacturing sector.
