Executive Summary
Ocean County College partnered with Lakewood High School for its dual enrollment program. Lakewood HS will select 25 rising eighth grade students with overall GPAs between 1.85 and 2.4 to participate in the Lakewood Academy. Students will take courses embedded with stackable the following industry credentials: (1) CompTIA industry certification, (2) CompTIA A+ certification, and (3) CompTIA Security A+ certification.
The goal of the program is to assist participating students to earn a High School diploma, an Associates degree from OCC, and a Bachelor’s degree while earning stackable industry credentials which equip them with the necessary skills to enter the technology workforce.
