Executive Summary

The Esports Production Content Creation Hub integrated adult literacy support into its pathway model to ensure all learners—regardless of academic background—could access and thrive in esports-related education and training.

Camden County College collaborated with The Salvation Army – Kroc Center Camden and Volunteers of America – Delaware Valley to connect adult learners with contextualized literacy and digital skill-building opportunities. These partnerships helped bridge learning gaps for individuals who may not have previously considered careers in technology, gaming, or media.

By aligning literacy services with engaging topics like content creation, streaming, and gaming, the program helped adult learners build confidence and foundational skills needed for success in both non-credit and credit esports programs.

Participants were also introduced to the esports industry through immersive experiences such as the GSE SJ Collegiate Cup finals, allowing learners to witness the production process and gain insight into real-world roles in the field. These integrated efforts are helping redefine adult education by linking it directly to emerging industries and pathways to sustainable employment.
