This pathway connection supports the NJ Film Academy’s mission by piloting a unified approach to workforce training in film and television production through New Jersey’s community colleges. Led by Brookdale Community College, this pilot establishes a model for scalable, statewide training that meets the growing demands of the industry.
By aligning curriculum, resources, and faculty expertise across institutions, the pilot lays the foundation for standardized, high-quality programs that deliver hands-on experience and industry-relevant instruction. Students gain access to modern facilities, current technologies, and instruction from experienced professionals, all of which prepare them to enter the workforce with skills that are valued by employers in the film and television sector.
This collaborative model ensures consistent training outcomes and greater accessibility, enhancing New Jersey’s ability to attract major film productions and grow the state’s creative economy.
