Executive Summary
Camden County College developed and embedded industry-recognized certifications into its credit-bearing Associate of Applied Science in Esports Production (ESP.AAS) degree program, creating a strong alignment between academic instruction and workforce needs in the esports and digital content creation sectors.
Working in collaboration with Horizon AVL Esports Integration and industry experts, the program integrated credentials including:
Adobe Certifications in Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects
DaVinci Resolve video editing
Unreal Engine (planned for future integration)
Credit courses such as COM-213: Multimedia Editing were mapped to these certifications, ensuring that students graduate not only with academic credentials, but also with industry-valued skills that are immediately applicable to esports, media, and technology careers.
This model of integrating credentialing into credit coursework strengthens student employability and makes the ESP.AAS degree a replicable standard across New Jersey Community Colleges.
