Executive Summary
To increase access for adult learners, each partner college implemented tailored strategies:
- Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) developed Prior Learning Assessments (PLAs) for every course, allowing adult learners with relevant work experience or certifications to earn credit through Skill-Based Assessments.
- Ocean County College (OCC) conducted comprehensive market research needs assessment through Hanover Research. The analysis identified high-growth IT occupations and recommended targeted marketing and program expansion to neighboring counties.
- Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC) launched a communications and recruitment campaign including geo-targeted digital outreach and social media, along with the development of partnerships with high schools, community-based organizations, and four-year institutions to expand access.
These strategies ensure that adult learners can access, accelerate, and succeed in career-aligned cybersecurity pathways.
