PATHWAY CONNECTION

The Bloomberg Fintech Pathway Project established a dynamic dual enrollment opportunity for high school students, enabling them to access college-level economics coursework embedded with real-world financial tools. Seniors from West Side High School participated in Principles of Economics II (ECO 102) at Essex County College, where they completed Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) modules using Bloomberg Terminals.

Through this experience, students explored international finance, monetary policy, and investment strategy—earning BMC certifications that enhance both their academic credentials and career readiness. This early exposure to professional-grade financial technology gives high school students a competitive edge while supporting their transition to postsecondary education in data science, finance, and related fields.
