Executive Summary
This pathway connection establishes a 1+1 model agreement between Camden County College’s (CCC) non-credit construction training programs and Rowan College at Burlington County’s (RCBC) credit-bearing degree programs. Through this collaboration, students who complete CCC’s non-credit offerings in Carpentry, Electrical Residential, HVAC, Plumbing, and Welding can receive college credit via Prior Learning Assessment and seamlessly transition into RCBC’s academic programs.
The following credit equivalencies have been approved:
- Carpentry Technology (CCC) → CON 101 Building Materials & Construction Methods (3 credits – RCBC)
- Electrical Residential (CCC) → EET 101 Introduction to Electronics (3 credits – RCBC)
- HVAC (CCC) → EET 121 Circuits (4 credits – RCBC)
- Hydro Technology/Plumbing (CCC) → CON 220 Understanding Construction Drawings (3 credits – RCBC)
- Welding Technology (CCC) → MET 235 Materials Science and Manufacturing (3 credits – RCBC)This pathway connection demonstrates the power of collaborative alignment across institutions, helping students build toward degrees with less redundancy and greater efficiency.
