Executive Summary
Camden County College expanded its non-credit automotive training program by developing and piloting two new courses aligned with ASE Electrified Propulsion Vehicle (xEV) standards. These modules equip students and working professionals with essential skills to work safely and effectively with high-voltage EV systems.
- Level One – Electrically Aware Person focuses on safety awareness and preparation protocols for working on or near EVs.
- Level Two – High Voltage Vehicle Technician builds on foundational skills and includes system evaluation, isolation techniques, and performing maintenance on de-energized high-voltage components.
Both courses integrate hands-on training and safety best practices, preparing learners to meet industry demands. These stackable, non-credit offerings provide accessible professional development for automotive technicians transitioning to EV service roles and establish a model for EV workforce development statewide.
