Designed to support educators in engaging adult learners, this asynchronous eight-week course provided foundational knowledge in instructional strategies aligned with the unique needs of adult students in the renewable energy sector.
The course was structured around weekly modules, including topics such as adult learning theory, effective communication, learning environments, instructional assessments, and accommodating diverse learner populations. Participants engaged through assigned readings, discussion boards, and assessments, culminating in a final grade and digital recognition for successful completion.
This course is a model of how professional development can directly strengthen the instructional workforce, particularly for high-growth industries like offshore wind energy.
